Tender Beef Stew

A meal prep treat - tasty, easy to make, and keeps its flavor and texture upon reheat

Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Sear Beef
    • Heat pan on medium high heat
    • Add butter and let brown a bit
    • Season beef well with salt and pepper
    • Sear on each side of the beef to just brown. Not a cook, just a light sear.
    • Take beef off and put in slow cooker. You will probably have to batches to avoid overcrowding
  2. Prepare Meat
    • Lower heat
    • Add broth, worcestershire sauce, and seasonings (garlic powder and onion powder)
    • Scrape pan and stir
  3. Slow cook
    • Add gravy and beef into slow cooker and cook LOW for 7-8 hrs or HIGH for 4-5 hrs with the lid on
    • If it's still thin in the last 20-30 min, add 1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water. Stir in then add lid back
    • Shred beef with fork when done (should be easy)
  4. Enjoy!
